Question:

Cheapest airline?

Hi guys, I'm flying from Arkansas to Colorado, and am looking for the least expensive ticket. I heard one airline was supposedly the cheapest, I think its a newer airline that is trying to get the word out about themselves, so they're flying people for cheap. I think its called Ameri...-something. Does anyone know for sure what its called? Or what do you think is the cheapest airline? Thank you :)

  1. You should go to Kayak.com

You put in starting point, destination, and dates, and they do all the work for you in like 4 seconds.

They search hundreds of websites and tell you how much it would cost using any airline.

  2. They all compete. Its very rare to see one airline alot cheaper then the other these days.

Southwest is known to have very cheap deals, so give them a call or check the internet for prices.

  3. There are currently no new commercial airlines beginning service in the US. The last one to begin service was Virgin America and it has a limited route structure that does not include Colorado or Arkansas. Nor does it try to always be the cheapest. The last airline to try that strategy was Skybus and they went out of business very quickly.  Dirt cheap fares and $135 oil is not a recipe for business success.

  4. Southwest Airlines is very cheap.  They do not have to pay as much for fuel as the other airlines (they pay like half of what everyone else does), so their ticket prices aren't going up like everyone else.  You can fly Southwest from Little Rock to Denver with 1, maybe 2 stops along the way.

Whoever you choose, just make sure you book the flight pretty far in advance, as that will be the cheapest.

  5. try southwest.

  6. Maybe you are thinking of Airtran.  They are Frontier Airlines sister company, and I had never heard of them before until I got an email.  While Frontier tends to be pretty high on their tickets, Airtran is quite the opposite.  We ended up booking for round trip tickets from Indianapolis, IN to Las Vegas for only $150 each through them.  Since then, I have seen them advertised everywhere.

Airtran's closest airport to Arkansas is the Memphis, TN airport.  I am seeing fares in August from $131 each way, but I don't know your exact dates so I can't really tell you what it would be.

Southwest has trips for the next couple of months for $157 each way.

  7. depends what flying class. Try
