Cheerleading Cheerleading? =) ?

Question

I live in Kansas and have been desperate to get out. Hawaii Pacific University has one of the BEST cheer squads in the USA. I auditioned and made it. I'm so happy and proud.... but I am leaving. Leaving my friends, family, etc. I've always wanted to get out of Kansas. Any tips or encouragement?

Omg! I am wayy jealous!

Just take a deep breath and remember, they're only a phone call away. They will always be there, but you can only  cheer for a limited amount of time. Be young and live your life!

Now is the time to spread your wings and make your mark on the world. Do it with a little class and grace and anything is possible.

First of all, congratulations! I love HPU cheer! I bet you'll do great!

Secondly, don't stress. If you go all homesick, it will make it harder. Instead of looking at it as an ending (which it's not) look at it as a beginning. You're going to have an awesome new life in Hawaii! Plus, it's not like it's the last time you'll ever see them again. You can always call, write, and and e-mail them. Plus, I'm sure you'll make tons of new friends! My mom lived in Hawaii for 6 years, and she loved every second of it! The people are always nice and laid back, the weather is great, and the atmosphere is carefree. You'll have a blast!
