Cheltenham Golf Cup - What to wear?

I'm going to cheltenham races on friday and haven't got a clue on what I should wear. Anybody have any ideas????

The `Gold Cup` or the `Golf Cup`?

It`s a toss up between herring-bone tweeds or plus fours and a Sherpa fleece.

Green gum boots and a sou`wester with a scarf tied round it to keep it in place are also advisable at this time of the year.  No umbrella as the wind will blow it inside out.

Avoid book-makers, tipsters and the rear end of horses.

A country suit with a wool over coat and a trilby .

Smart suit that is warm and thick tights and comfy shoes as there will be quite a bit of walking and standing either from looking at the horses or shopping . AND a really lovely winter hat in a bright colour and you will be picked up on the tele
