  1. I HAD ONE, IT WAS USED TO PULL A VACCUM ON MY CHEST CAVITY TO REINFLATE MY LUNG. YES IT WAS PAINFUL, BUT I LIKE TO BREATH...AND IT WAS ONLY A COUPLE DAYS UNTIL MY LUNG REINFLATED AND HEALED. THE DOC GAVE ME DRUGS TO TAKE THE EDGE OFF THE PAIN.

  3. No,it gets access air out of the chest when you are injured.

    Your lungs collapse and that is the only way to get them back in to their original shape.

    Seen it many a times on ER.

  5. its a tube that goes between ur ribs into ur lungs when they collapse to get the air to start flowing again... its extremely painful!!!!
