Hey there, so I'm making chicken noodle soup tonight. The recipe calls for one whole chicken breast, I have some chicken breast, but is one enough? They are the bagged kind, and they are normal size I guess. Should I use one or two? Thanks!

  1. I usually put in more than recipes call for - especially if it's your entree:)   Can't have too much chicken in there:) ....

  2. Ack. Insipid chicken.

    Ack.

  3. 2... just to be sure if you have too much save it... leftovers never hurt anyone especially not me lol have fun

  4. If you want your soup to be very meaty by all means use two.  If you're making soup from scratch I bet you are a good cook so use your own judgment.  Most recipes improve with adjustments from the cook!  Good luck.

  5. 2 chicken breast from the bag should be fine and if you don't think that is enough chicken add a little more noodles and veg. Also if you think that there is not enough chicken you could cut the recipe in half!!

  6. Chicken breast has two sides, Two sides make one chicken breast. but when it come to making soup, You can never put too much chicken in the soup...The more the merryer

  7. If you are making a small quantity of soup, say 1l one would be enough, but when I make soup I do 1½ gallons, (6l) so I would use both. Go for what you wish.

  8. how much soup are you making...how big are you going to cut the pieces...do you want it chunky...or like you get  in a can...barely visible...

  9. One whole breast is quite a bit of meat..I would stick to the recipe...

but, keep in mind..many that are packaged and sold are Split breast..this is a photo of a split breast.http://images.asia.ru/img/alibaba/photo/... If this is what you have use 2.
