Chicken stock?

What does chicken stock taste like? If you order something vegan or vegetarian and you suspect it has chicken stock in it.

If you're concerned, just make sure that you ask your waiter or whoever prepared your food.

stock to me taste a little buttery and rather salty. This may be a sign that there is chicken stock used.

Another way to kind of see is to swish some in your mouth and spit out. If you have a metalic taste, I would be suspect. Beef and chicken contain iron which can leave a metallic taste in your mouth.
