Question:

Chicks and incubator?

We are haching chicks in an incubator and I just started hearing them. Do I open it now to feed them or do I wait a couple of hours for my hubby to get home and then feed them. The problem is I'm not sure how to regulate the temperature and I'm worried that when I open it I'll s***w it up. PS its and older one that was on the farm when we bought it.

  1. If they actually hatched and are out of their shells they need to stay in the incubator until they are dry and for no more than 24 hours. They shouldn't eat for awhile, so don't worry about that.

There should be a thermometer in the incubator to tell you the temp. It should be around 99-100 degress F.
