Child support with almost no relations?

My father left our family before I was born. He completely disappeared, and made no attempt to contact us until last year, where him and his sister (my aunt), "watched" me via MySpace, then told me about it in a Message.

My question is: Is it possible to get child support from my father, even though we have no relationship?

yes, your mother should file child support papers in court and you can even get money for all the years he didn't pay child support  you can receive child support till your 18 and if your still going to school at that age you can get it till your 21

yes. child support is not based on a relationship.  It is based on a parent's responsibility to support a child.  If you are under 18, your mother can file papers with the court asking for child support, and that is the best option you have.

Are you sure your mom didn't already do this years ago, and then your father disappeared and she didn't know where he was to get the court order for support enforced?  Talk with your mom about this.

If you live in the US, if he’s your legal father (is his name on the birth certificate?), and you’re under 18, MOM can petition for child support and should get it.  If he’s not your legal father, she would first have to file a petition to establish paternity.

EDITED TO ADD:

Just to clarify, most times the court will not award back support if Mom never filed a petition for child support (because it was her responsibility to do that), unless it was because she couldn’t find Dad to have him served and she made all reasonable efforts to find him.  Also, in most states the court does not order that child support continue during college.  There are some states that will order it, but they’re the exception rather than the rule.
