Chinchilla feeding!!!?

Question

Do i feed my chinchilla one or one and a half tablespoons of pellets and how many times a day? also has anybody heard of pellets from this place called valley view chinchilla ranch, and do you know if they are good quality? please help. thanks.

I feed my chinchillas one and a half tablespoons of pellets once a day at night. I also give them unlimited timothy hay, 1 teaspoon rolled oats, 3 raisins and a vitakraft dandelion drop. I feed mine oxbows chinchilla diet. Look at the back of the bag and look for at least a min of 16% crude fiber, a min of 16% protein, no more then 3% crude fat, and no more then 1% salt. The first ingredient should be alfalfa meal. Also make sure you don't buy a brand that contains treats. Otherwise your chin will just eat the treats and won't be getting the needed fiber.
