Chocolate fountain?

i have a chocolate fountain that has never been used before. i want to test it to make sure it works before i need to use it. instead of wasting a whole pack of chocolate just to test it, does anyone know if it would be ok to run water through it as a test run? i just don't want to mess it up in any way, so i want to be completely sure before i do it! thanks!

no cause it would not be the same as chocolate.

You won't break it, but you can't run water through a fountain.  It's not thick enough.  Turn the motor on and see if the auger turns.  If it does, it should work just fine. :)
