Christianity - lame?

Question

I'm a faithful Christian who completely believes in God.

However, my best friend has been hanging with her new neighbor lately and somehow she finds being a Christian as lame...

Lately she's been wearing revealing clothes and been quite rude and ignorant at times. She suddenly starts to curse and miss out church and now she's doubting her faith.

She's been like a sister I never had. Well she is my sister in Christ of course, which makes me concerned. I asked her calmly how her Bible reading was going, coz we usually ask each other that... and she began shouting at me saying why am I concerned about her spiritual life and everything. She said that it's so much more fun not to believe in God and have him being disappointed in you because you want to wear revealing clothes. Being atheist is more fun to her.

What do I do?

Continue to be her friend.

She will need to be able to see some consistency in someone.  It seems that right now she's lost or is losing her faith, and if she can see someone else who is able to maintain and hold on to God's word, she will begin to realize and make adjustments in her behavior.  

Don't attack her or make her feel bad for her choices.  Instead, continue to live your life in Christ.  Remember, the greatest testimony is not showing someone Christ but showing them Christ that lives in us!  She knows this, she just needs to continue to see God work.  Sometimes we need to see things in order to believe it.

Being a Christian isn't lame, some Christians just think they have the right to judge others and that they are somehow above others and that's when they become lame. I think all you can do is leave her in God's hands. You can't force her to do or believe anything, but God can keep her in His powerful hands. You just have to ask Him and trust Him. He has a reason for everything!

Make yourself available to be there for her should the world come crashing down on her.  You have let her know your concern and love.  Leave it at that and continue to pray for her.  She should know you are there if she needs you.  I had a similar experience with friend while in college.  As an adult, she returned to Christianity and thanked me for not berating her, but simply being there if she needed me.

Some of us must take a different road to reach the end, let her live the way she wants, assuming she will have to pay for any mistakes she makes. Continue to be her friend, pray for her. But don't alienate her by trying to push her back to a place that she obviously does want to be in right now.

I think you should just let her go, i mean you can still be friends right? i have loads of friends who are really religious and im one of the most non-religious people you will ever find! lol and i still hang abt with them and stuff :)

Its good you stand for what u beleive in. No, its not stupid to be concerned. But, if thats the way shes choosing to go... thats her belief as well. and u have to respect that. I myself... dont have a religion and dont really ... i dont know... i beleive but not significantly... and people shouldnt have to do somehting they dont want. So if she wants to change her ways... and is doubting... you can try talking to her... but u cant change her.

LOL don't know if you're a troll or not, but being pissed at your god doesn't make you an atheist, an atheist is someone who doesn't believe god(s) exist.

She's losing her faith. She is being deceived by satan. You need to change her back. You can still have fun even though your a Christian. I'm having fun! :-)

wow. im so sry. umm... did u try reminding her of wat will happen if she doesnt believe? i mean like a number one way of witnessing to ppl is asking them "what will happen if ur wrong and all of us Chrisitians r right?" and of course u kno the answer. ut only use that as a last resort bc it seems as if she is a little testy about even talking about the subject. ill pray for u and for her!
