Cinder block foundation repair?

I have an old garage built around 1950. It sits on a cinder block (not concrete) foundation with a concrete slab. One of the cinder blocks directly under the threshhold of the side door came loose and crumbled. I have a gap of about 20 inches where this block used to be. The rest of the foundation is in good shape. What is the best way to repair this? Should I build a form and remove the door and threshold and pour in cement to fill in the gap between the two cinder blocks? It is too tight for me to drop in one and a half cinderblocks. It appears to be a very small job.

first try to clean everything!

Just clean the area of where the old cinder block used to be including the little grains of cement and grout left over. When you have a nice square shape again put some mortor in the missing section and lay a new cinder block in. Remove any access mortor and let it dry.  Your done.

Another method might be to form the area, leaving one form a couple of inches open at the bottom of the wall. Mix a semi-dry concrete with pea gravel mix and pack the void. Pack it in tight and smooth the unformed area out.

sounds like a good fix...just make sure to get all the loose stuff out of there...
