Question:

Citizenship... Passport.. Name Problem??

On my citizenship my full name is Nadia Abdul Kazam Abdul. My parents were illiterate when they came here so that fourth name was a mistake. In my Social Security card and all my other i.d. such as my permit, license, bank cards, school letters, etc... my name is just Nadia Abdul Kazam. I would like to apply for a passport and my question is whether they will use the name on my citizenship papers since it is my proof of citizenship or the name I want to use which is shown on all of my other proofs of identity. Your help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks beforehand!

  1. Once you become a citizen you can correct it and you will keep the same s.s. card number just a last name change Americans do it frequently and then you can apply for a new passport so everything will fall into place.

  2. what country are you in?
