hey

to cut a long story short, my mum has made a claim for the mortgage insurance since the other property owner has passed away (my dad). the insurance company has written asking why there are 2 indiscrepencies in the contract that they signed and the actual fact.

the indiscrepencies that my dad signed, is that he had never been treated for depression or chest pains. neither of these 2 things are related to his death but they want to know why he signed that he hadnt had treatment when he had. what am i supposed to answer? is there now no hope to get the insurance money through? please im desperate my mum cant afford to pay the mortgage on her own and im a full time student.

thanks

  1. It doesn't MATTER if it related to his death.  If the policy is contestable, they can deny the claim for a misrepresentation on the application.  Period.

You answer, you don't know why he did it, and he's passed away, so you can't ask him.

If the policy is contestable, you won't get the money.  If the policy is NOT contestable, you will.

  2. As with above, also check the fine print.  If your mother was also on the note, they may not approve it since their is still someone alive to pay the bill.

Although I have never heard of this happening, with insurance companies you never know.

  3. Hi,

I used "Credit Solution" to settle my mortgage. They managed to reduce my mortgage up to 58%.It's legitimate.I came across this company on NBC News Special Edition.Check it out here:
