Class ring?

My boyfriend told me he's going to give me his class ring as part of my birthday gift. So I'm wondering what it means when a boyfriend gives you his class ring?

You should ask him directly.

It probably means he's serious about you. (But you need to find out from him how serious). When I was in high school, my boyfriend gave me his class ring as a promise ring until he could afford to replace it with an engagement ring.

it's an old promise thing.

basically it means he's telling you that he'll stay with you past high school.

When a guy gives you his class ring it usually means you're "going steady".  When he gives it to you for your birthday, depending on what the other part is, it could be that he's cheap.  If he breaks up with you and he gave you his ring for your birthday you don't have to give it back.

Most guys let you where their ring if they want to be with you.  It's kinda like showing that you are his. : p
