Classical music help =]?

i have been looking everywhere for top music that is redone in classical/orchestra version (like the band Vitamin String Quartet) they do songs like "smells like teen spirit" and "stairway to heaven".. does anyone know any other orchestras that do that.. thanks

A lot of orchestras will come out with a 'pops' album, that will sometimes include remakes of contemporary hits.

Aside from that, just search "Vitamin String Quartet" or "String Quartet tribute to" in Amazon.com, and you'll get a list of dozens of albums (Metallica, Queen, Evanescence, Nirvana, etc.) You're already on the right track. Unfortunately, I don't know of any other orchestras/groups that focus solely on contemporary remakes.

The London Philharmonic does a lot of what they call "pops."
