Cleaning Hardwood Stain...Help!

I just pulled up a rug that is over my gorgeous wood floors to find that an area of the floor is tinted yellow. I am guessing something soaked through the rug and tinted it...is there anything I can do to clean and remove that yellow tint. I have tried some lysol but that is not working. Please help!

  1. Without actually seeing your floor, I am just giving you an educated guess on how you can deal with it, but here goes:

I am guessing that something has taken the colouration out of the surface on your floor and as such am going to suggest that maybe you need to get some furniture or floor type oil to nourish the wood in hopes that you can restore some colour this way. Other than that I would suggest that you go see some company who stains wooden floors and see if they have a remedy - but I would try the previous suggestion first of the oil to see if it might help but I feel that you may have to resort to sanding back and resurfacing the area concerned

Best of luck with treatment - which ever way you choose.
