Cleaning a (possibly) rusted wok?

Argh! Okay, someone in our household left the brand-new never used wok sitting in a sink of water overnight. It's kinda rusty looking in some sports, and in others kinda greenish - how can I clean this if I'm not supposed to use soap or scrubbers?

  1. hello...

try baking soda in a damp foam and scrub it.

    goodluck!

  2. steel wool

or you could put oil in it and heat it up then swirl the oil arould the rust spots.  pour the oil out then wipe with paper towels.  kind of like seasoning cast iron

  3. SCRUB IT WITH YOUR DETERGENT AND A BRILLO PAD AND HAND DRY THEN ADD A LITTLE OLIVE OIL TO A RAG AND WIPE IT ON THE INSIDE AND THAT SHOPULD DO THE JOB.GOOD LUCK!
