Cleaning out a burnt smell?

my husband left a pot on the stove and that burnt smell is all through the house how do I get it out besides letting it air out we've done that for about 8 hours now and its still there, any tips?

Use fans to push the smell out, and you can also take a few cloths and saturate them in lemon juice, then hang them, it worked for me and I had a pan that burned really bad.

I use the Febreze, too as you can spray curtains, chair covers and carpeting with it and it will take most odors away.  I would let the house be aired out, too, by opening doors and windows for an hour turning on all fans etc and spray like a mad woman! lol

Also did you know if the pan has a burnt coating and you put in refrig over night it will come clean easier?

My husband did the same thing and all you have to do is light about 4 candles all around your house and in about 4 hours they will absorb all the odor for you without any work involved.

Home Depot has a air freshener made especially for removing smoke smells. That would do the trick. It's made by Zap.
