  1. International collaboration is important for many reasons...Greenhouse gas emissions, which are causing this current global warming , are not simply confined to the country that emits them...many parts of the planet that had nothing to do with that emission will suffer the effects of expanding deserts, rising sea levels etc.  So therefore, it requires coordinated action...if the US were to lower emissions that would be great, but would hardly make a dent on CO2 levels if Europe didn't follow suit, for example...

Also international collaboration is very important because many third world countries are late to the industrialization process, are poorer, and may do not have the technology or wealth to convert to "greener technologies"....furthermore, many third world countries believe that "greening" of industry is a conspiracy of sorts to make their development more difficult...A way to assuage these fears is to assist the policy of technology transfers...

In closing, global climate change NECESSARILY requires a international collaboration because of what economists call unintentional "externalities", in other words, the consequences of emissions are felt on countries who are not part of that transaction that created those emissions (as I mentioned, rising sea levels)

  2. It's not really. The premise for global warming was that the earth had heated by one degree over the last one hundred years. According to all 4 major reporting entities which include Giss,RSS,UAH and Hadley the earth cooled 1 degree this year. And no less than 64 countries experienced either all time lows or all time snowfall this year. The us had the most snowfall in 52 years. And 3 states hit their all time low temps

  3. It's not.  The climate is going to change no matter what the politicians do, say, or think because that is just what the climate does.

There is no such thing as a static climate, and it is foolish to think we can achieve one.

  4. Yeah we have to figure out why NASA is saying global temperatures have dropped around the world, South America is covered by more snow then they have been in over 50 years. And why 90 percent to the country is freezing. Those d**n liars kill them all. Global Warming is not a myth, I've seen it "It's called the sun" if we don't stop Global Warming we will become just like the sun.

  5. Yes it is important.  A rapid change in climate can have huge ecological consequences that can affect humanity.  International cooperation is absolutely required because the primary cause of climate change, as we understand it now, is  human activity emitting billions of tons  of greenhouse gases annually into the atmosphere from the combustion of fossil fuels. Landscape changes further contribute.

It is a classic "tragedy of the commons" situation.  The one resource every nation on earth uses - the air around us - is changing enough to begin costing society directly through changing the climate.  Emissions don't stop at borders.  It is very difficult to manage this resource because all activity influences it (natural and human).  Natural mechanisms are in place to offset the changes in the atmosphere and reduce the rate of change, but those mechanisms have been overwhelmed by the extent of our dependence on fossil fuels.  It will take international cooperation to find an answer.

  6. To tax us and waste our tax dollars. The Sun is the real climate change out of all factors.

What's happening now is very similar globally and in every region to what happened last time, which was 100% natural.

We must have SOME effect because we emit CO2 and aerosols - but it does not appear to be a significant effect given that we haven't gone off the track from what happened last time.
