How do I know if a clipless pedal will fit my bike (I.e in the bracket of the crank)? I have a 2005 Trek 1500. Is there a good place to buy pedal/shoe combos online?

Thanks.

  1. ANY new set of pedals you buy today will fit.

  2. Your bike will use 9/16 axle pedals. I believe all clipless pedals use that size. 1/2 axles are used on kids bikes mainly.

    nashbar.com

    performance.com

These are two of many on-line stores you can find pedals and shoes, they usually have a couple combo sales too.

  3. All clipless pedals will fit.

  4. I also have a lot of clipless pedal questions. I good place I've found about gear is bicycling.com, you can type in about any question and something usually comes up. Also click on the gear review tab and find out which pedals are the best for you.

  5. any decent pedal (all clipless) are standard sized and  will fit your crank.  try nashbar.com  or performancebike.com
