Cloth smells like automobile smoke?

I ride motorcycle to go to work in heavy traffic every day. When I arrived at my office my cloth smells like car smoke. The problem is after I do the laundry that smells wont go away. How to get rid of it?

Sounds like your laundry soap isn't breaking down the petroleum products in the fumes.  Try a different soap, soap supplement, or giving the cloth a couple of methanol rinses - and dry it - prior to washing.

If the latter, keep away from open flames and spark sources.

Try putting some baking soda in with your detergent, and don't forget to use fabric softner!
