Coaching Defense 11 year olds?

Question

10-11 year old defense coach. In a 6-2 D how do I defend the qb option. My guess is end picks up qb, LB to that side picks up option back. Corner comes up to help. Safety slides over. Is that right? Help! Thanks Rich

if ur playing an option team. id swtich to a 5-3....  then DE picks up FB. a MLB picks up the QB and an outside LB picks up the RB....sometin like that.. but id swithc to 5-3 for option... the 6-2 is good for defending the run,,,, idk about the OPTION...

6-2 Defense if you are going to run that why not change over to the

G-A-M . Gap Air Mirror  -  Look up John T Reed web he has books and websites that will show you all about it - been using this defense 6 years now had these kids since Mighty mites (7 and 8 yr old) now Bantoms (12-14)

and to answer your Question the D-End would pick up the Qb would play contain though so to watch out for the sneak
