Hi,

I know i want to join the Coast Guard , then the Army. But if i enlist in the coast guard i want to be an AMT. What is it like . Daily life of an AMT. Whats it like when your on the Heli, and working on it?

Also , what kind of Math is applied to being an AMT? Math has never been my strongest point, but AMT is something i really want to do.

I barley passed algebra in high school, but i passed geometry , and since im still in high school, im gonna take shp mechanics and some electronics classes. But algebra is my main weakness. Would i be able to be an AMT.

Help PLEASE!!

  1. AMT students go to the USCG ATTC Aviation Technical Training Center in Elizabeth City NC.  They work on HH-60J Jayhawks and HH-65C Dolphines.  They work hard and they play hard.   The AMT rides an the Helo.   Also AMTs can also train use weapons.  It is a real cool Job.  You will not want to go into the Army after that.
