Coffee Related Photo Ideas?

Im taking a photo on Tuesday of a chap who is the MD of a coffee company. The photo is for a newspaper. I have been asked to make the photo funny and a bit different...

Anyone any decent ideas?

Not sure what you mean by "coffee company", but a few casual shots of him on top of some sacks of beans might be a good idea, assuming he's in the part of the business where you'd have easy access to those.

If he's more on the retail side of things, then maybe a shot of him preparing some coffee?

Personally, I'd go for subtle: Have him holding a mug with a teabag string coming out of it.

Or you could go for the obvious: lots and lots of coffee cups around him, spoons or stirrers sticking out, sugar packets everywhere, those little creamer tubs.  "No no...it's not addictive."

Two photos.  One well lit photo of a coffee cup, a very unique one or perhaps with his company's logo.  Then, a photo of him, holding his arm up as if it's on the brim of the cup.  Manipulate the photos so he is sitting in the cup. Like so:

wow doesn't it depend on what type of style they want - is it expensive coffee or standard coffee or what?

off the top of my head

-a picture of people walking around with coffee stains on their clothes because this is coffee they actually like

-like the US milk ads but with coffee lines?

-coffee iv drips

Ok the only idea that I have had (that I haven't already rejected) is to take a pretty straight photo of the guy. But on the the final photo make it look like someone has carelessly left a coffee ring / spilt coffee. It might work better if placed around his head sort of like a halo. You should be a be able to add a coffee ring layer in Photoshop easily enough.

My rejected ideas would all involve props which would probably have to be made which given you deadline is unfeasible.
