Question:

Coffee doesn't work?

I feel that coffee doesn't work for me to keep me awake. Somebody suggested cocaine to me the other day. I have found that it does cause insomnia(which is a good thing), but I was wondering if anybody has any other suggestions to keep me awake as I feel that cocaine is a little extreme.

I will vote for a best answer!

  1. How stupid are you? For one thing, if caffeine is causing insomnia then it is doing what it's supposed to. For another, cocaine is such a bad idea there aren't enough words in the world to tell you why you shouldn't do it. You are supposed to be able to keep yourself awake, you shouldn't need caffeine or cocaine or any other stimulant to do so. People just drink coffee/coca-cola/tea when they want a bit of a perk-up. I suggest you look at your lifestyle and diet before rushing out with your mindlessly idiotic hand outstretched for hard drugs. Seriously, have some self-respect.

  2. How about Red Bull or Monster energy drink??  Its LEGAL and cheap!   Has tons of vitamin B's (which are what keep people wound up).............ex junkie here and totally set free from drugs so I would kind of know a bit....lol  = )

  3. I agree with most of the answers before me. Energy drinks (REAL ones..not Vault) Like Red Bull, Monster or Amp can help.. Exercise helps and sometimes a splash of cold water on the face can give you a quick temporary jolt.

  4. It depends on when and why you need to stay awake.  Fresh air and cold water works quite well but not very useful at the office maybe?

If you think you need cocaine to stay awake then you need to re-think your life style.  Is anything that important that it would not be as good after a good sleep?

  5. Do me a favour and slap your friend - drugs are bad whatever reason you justify for them.

If you want to stay awake, you exercise. It keeps your brain and body active so they don't go into sleep mode

Although don't do it too much else you'll tire yourself out

  6. Red bull.

eating early and being a bit hungry does the trick!

    Tea and toast! plain!

Why try and stay awake though your body really needs sleep to recover and tricking it too long can age you faster and m,ake you ill long term!

  7. Have you tried putting tea bags into water bottles that's good for a caffeine rush.

  8. I personally suggest that since coffee has about 3 times as much caffeine as your average energy drink (which are also loaded with sugar!) that you buy caffeine pills, which come in 200mg tablets, and you can take as many as you need to stay awake. Do not OD on caffeine. It is possible. The OD Formula for caffeine is about 150 to 200 milligrams per kilogram of body mass, roughly 80 to 100 cups of coffee for an average adult taken within a limited time frame that is dependent on half-life. Though achieving lethal dose with caffeine would be exceptionally difficult with regular coffee, there have been reported deaths from overdosing on caffeine pills, with serious symptoms of overdose requiring hospitalization occurring from as little as 2 grams of caffeine.

  9. take those 5 houer energy drinks.. anything other than that probably has way too much sugar... i personally have not tried it but heard it gets the job done.

  10. You didn't say much about your circumstances, but if you're fatigued after a good nights sleep, there might be an underlying issue that you should address.  I have trouble with my blood sugar levels and tiredness is my first sign that its off.  I'm technically not diabetic but my body doesn't metabolize sugar well.  When I simply stay away from the carbs and refined sugar I get a huge energy boost.  It normally takes me about 3 days to start feeling energetic when I have been eating the "wrong" stuff.

If you have a situation similar to mine, caffeine and sugary energy drinks are only going to make you more tired.

It's always good to listen to your body...it's never good to  mask the symptoms ; )

A Healthy diet and getting enough rest at night will serve you well, I promise!

  11. try good expensive energy drinks like red bull and monster.

if that doesn't work then try and make your life more stressful. That causes insomnia

  12. Well, if you're interested in drugs but not so extreme as cocaine, amphetamines are probably your best bet. Speed you buy off the street is going to be addicting and expensive, though, so I would avoid it.

Less addictive/ expensive are ADHD drugs like Adderall and Ritalin. You can get a prescription for these from a doctor--but not just any doctor. Ask around to see if you can find someone who has gotten a prescription without actually having the disorder. This is a good sign that you will be able to fake it as well. A good doctor would never prescribe these medications without being confident that you need them. Your goal will be to find the bad doctors who are more interested in making a profit off of the prescription.

If you end up taking these, don't do anything silly like taking them more often than prescribed or breaking up your Adderall XR and snorting it. That's the fast track to addiction.

  13. redbull does the job for me, it's much cheaper than cocaine!
