Coke o' Diet.?

Question

Is Diet Coke seriously going to eat my brains, steal my purse and make me have deformed, three-knee-ed children?

What is so bad about it, and is Coke Zero any better? Advice to switch to water will be completely disregarded. :)

I asked somebody else this question the other day, and they explained it has to do with aspertame, an artificial sweetner used in most diet drinks.  Basically one problem with it is aspertame tells your brain that you've had sugar, but your body still craves sugar.  This makes you more hungry and more prone to eat food soas to satisfy that sugar craving.  After hearing that I've noticed she's right- most diet drinks make me hungrier.  So I've switched to non-diet drinks and just don't drink them as often.

Check the labels and see if they have aspertame in them.  I have no idea if the same thing is true about other artificial sweetners or not.

The ONLY reason I would ever drink a diet drink is if I was diabetic.

If I wanted to go on a diet, there's many other options out there for me to drink.

Coke Zero doesn't take like regular coke. Those commercial guys are on crack.

Coke Zero isn't really that much better, but I suppose it is smarter to drink it than diet coke, seeing as how diet coke tastes...horrible.

it will not eat your brains and it will not deform your kids .i drink diet coke yes it is bad vs drink the real coke no diet it has be prove the  diet drinks are worse the non diet drinks

suppose it make you gain more weight and have like a beer belly vs regular coke ..as for coke zero it is the same as diet coke it taste the same in my opinion just remember it will not deform you kids if you drink it ..i drink diet coke though my whole pregnancies and i have three kids they are smart and the have nothing wrong with them..

Sodium benzoate is a preservative. It is bacteriostatic and fungistatic under acidic conditions

now i read this and nowhere did i read that it defects baby maybe adha but like i said my kids are fine no adha it says people with asthma should not have it..
