Cold calling?

I'm getting cold calls from 0800 9121698. I've no idea who this company is and I've asked them to stop calling me. Now I'm getting a maximum of 4 calls a day from them. I've started ignoring them but now they're getting annoying. Anyone know who this company is and how I can stop them from calling? I've already registered my mobile number with the TPS.

You say they are coming through to your mobile. Try calling your network provider and ask them to block that number from contacting you. Depends on what phone you have, but it is possible now to block telephone numbers from phoning and texting you from your handset. I have the Samsung D800 (it's 18 months old so its not exactly a new handset) and if I go to the number on my call register and select it, I then have the option 'Add to reject list' so your phone might have something similar.

If you have only recently registered yourself on TPS it does sometimes take a while for the calls to stop, so next time the company rings, tell the agent that your number is on the TPS and ask them to put a note on their internal system not to call you, or to remove your number, that should scare them into taking your number off as they can get quite heavily fined for ringing numbers on a Do Not Call list.

It's called Telegen, and is a general marketing company. It's illegal for them to call you if you're registered for the TPS, so I would call them or alternatively email them on info@telegenuk.com. You should receive a reply advising you've been removed from their call lists.

It's a pain, the only advice I can give is get caller ID put on your line and if someone rings with either 'withheld' or 'unknown' then don't aswer it. Some of these calls are generated by a computer and if you answer it you validate the number and open the floodgates.

Wouldn't mind having a five minute 'chat' with some of these morons.

TPS doesn't catch them all.
