College/University Football?

I want to be a pro football player but everywhere i look sais play football in high school then play in college but im planning to go to university. Does it make a difference if i play in college or university?. if so which is better?

  1. i dont think so as long as you make an impact on the pro recruiter on and off the field


  2. Are you referring to Canadian colleges?  I am not sure how many (if any) have football programs.  Many University programs have football teams though, so if you have the talent you could play there.

    Often times the reference to "College" football refers to US schools, where the distinction between college and university is different.  (Size of institution rather than the ability to confer a degree vs. diploma).  Even then the distinction isn't used much - often the term college is applied to both as a generality.

  3. Yeah, in the States, college and university mean the same thing.  What we call colleges in Canada are known as community colleges or junior colleges down south.  Anyways, if your goal is to play CFL football, then you would definitely wanna play ball at the university level here in Canada.
