Colonoscopy?

I have a colonoscopys scheduled for next Monday,the thing is I start a new job on Monday too,so would it be a good idea to get it done same day,and if I get it doneat 8 am would I be able to be at work at12 pm,knowing that it takes about 1 hour for me to get there.

I wouldn't plan on going to work ...they knock you out for this and you will be very sleepy ...and maybe even a bit sore down below !

Not a good idea, in order for a colonoscopy to be done they are going to knock you out. You wont be in any shape to work after it is done.

It depends on your pain tolerance, determination and your doctor.  If you get sedated the game is over for the rest of the day.  No driving and you are goin gto want to sleep all day.

If your doctor will agree to you doing no sedation (most won't) and you can tolerate the pain (which, IME can be as high as a good 6 or 7 out of 10 at times during the procedure); then demand no sedation.  If you go this route, agree to the IV for hydration with saline and so they can sedate if something goes wrong.  Be prepared for everyone to say your crazy.

Personally, I would either delay the colonoscopy or the job start.  Good luck which ever way you go.

What a time for such a procedure, I would wait to start you new job A colonosapy is no fun   you will need time to recover especially if you have to be active.
