Colorado colleges ??

I am thinking about going to college in Colorado, and I wanted to know

if anyone knew some good colleges there.

- I am an A/B student, so I don't think I will make it into a extreme straight A's kind of college.

- Maybe a christan college? I don't have to, though.

  1. The only two universities in Colorado worth your time are Colorado College which is very selective private school, which I sometimes debate weather it is really worth the cost. The 2nd is the University of Colorado, which has three campuses: Boulder, Denver and Colorado Springs. They offer pretty much the same undergraduate degrees at all three campuses, the difference is in the grad schools.

If you are worried about out-of-state tuition at CU, then I would attend the Metropolitan State College of Denver for a year or so until you qualify and then transfer to CU.

Beyond those, there is then the University of Denver, another private school with a prestige all of its own, not worth going for undergraduate studies, if you plan to go to grad school. If you don't and you can afford it, then that is where you should aim to go.

  2. The colleges I personally know of are Colorado College and CU Boulder. All I know about UNC is that it's a good school for teachers. I don't know much about others.

Colorado College is private, about $40k a year if you're in-state, and quite selective. (The average ACT score is like a 32, I believe.) They have the same class five days a week for three and a half weeks and then have a small break before a new class begins. Classes are always generally no more than thirty people. You are encouraged to join adjuncts (small classes that meet usually once or twice a week). My boyfriend goes there.

CU Boulder is about $20k for in-state and quite liberal--but so are all college campuses. It has a reputation of being a huge party and drug school but I feel it's vastly exaggerated. No one I know parties all night, there is never people vomiting from alcohol in the bathrooms, and if you choose not to do any sort of drugs--I don't do any--no one tries to pressure you to do them.  Class size varies (I have a class of 18 as well as a class of 100) but it's a gorgeous campus that offers a huge variety of things to do. I attend there.

Sorry, I don't really know anything about Christian colleges in CO.
