  1. If memory serves me rightly, a top class instructor named Walt Bayliss developed an art called Combat Jiu-Jitsu. I believe it was a mixture of BJJ and wrestling with some Sambo involved.  I saw some tapes of his which were impressive. He is a good instructor and his art seems effective.

    Told ya.

  2. I believe it is simply a westernized name for traditional Jujitsu from Japan, as in its origins, it was used on battlefield for defense and attacks during close range fighting.

BJJ focuses around ground techniques were Japanese Jujitsu still has stand up training.

  3. I have never herd of combat jiujitsu.

  4. combat jujitsu is taught in the military its used to disable your opponent asap...bjj is brazillian jujitsu wich is an art that takes somone to the ground by using force and power mostly technique

  5. I'm gonna say a fake martial art.

Real martial arts (IE the ones developed thousands of years ago) deal with the art of defensive combat, not aggressive.  Obviously they can be used to attack, but the most benefit comes from being in the defensive position.
