Comcast Vs Directv?

I currently have DTV and I am paying about 80 to 90 dollars for HD and DVR no movie channels. I am also going through my local Internet and phone provider and am paying a little over 100 dollars. Through comcast's triple play offer i would be paying 160 dollars with HD and DVR. I live in Estacada Oregon and was wondering if the switch to comcast would be smart.

  1. I have DirecTV but I would recommend Comcast. They have better packages and are ultimately cheaper.

DirecTV has many satellite and receiver issues and they charge you an arm and a leg for everything.

Comcast also has better channel variety, you get extras and local channels, DirecTV with local is a whole showboat affair.

And comcast has onDemand, which in itself makes it 50 times better.

  2. I live in colorado and am happy with comcast I say switch.  It is just easier, and you can watch tv when it rains.  I used to work for dish network, and it really isn't good enough for the headache it causes.

I will admit I am on my 4th dvr.  BUT, they promptly keep bringing me new ones.  Once your warranty expires with DTV your screwed.

  3. I have to agree with Floppy. I had Comcast for 5 years and always got excellent service with them. I have since moved and Comcast is not available to me in my area and I now have Satellite and I hate it. If it so much as gets cloudy outside I lose my signal, so I would say go for it, Comcast is, from my experience, an excellent service provider and satellite is just simply overpriced for me for the quality of service that they render.
