Comcast cable box and computer?

Question

I want to connect a computer so that I can view it on the tv

but I don't want to get extra cables, can I connect the monitor cable to the computer and the comcast cable box or do I have to buy a separate thing that will connect the computer directly to the tv?(I dont have that tv connect thing on my computer)

IF you have a VGA connector on your cable box, it certainly wasn't designed to pass the signal to the TV set.....

It's designed as a serial cable connection to PROGRAM the cable box.....and that's all it does.

So....do you have a S-Video output on your computer video card? That's your only choice then.....
