  1. The $13.99 is for the DVR, and then in each room you will have a receiver that should only cost a fraction of that. about $3 or $4.99 each a month.

You don't need a DVR in each room, Unless you are recording in every room???

  2. if you are going to want dvr capabilities on all four tvs, you may want to consider switching to dish network. i have dvr on all four of my tvs, and i pay about 70 bucks a month. i have an hddvr on my main tv (model 722), and it can hold 350 hours of programming. it's tied to my master bedroom tv, so anything i record on the main tv, i can watch in the master. and vice versa.

i also have a dvr in the family room (model 625), and it's tied to my kid's room. those two rooms share that receiver's hard drive (150 hours). the nice thing is that dish has really good equipment at a low price.

i had comcast before, and when i found out what it was going to cost me to upgrade to digital on all four tvs, AND have dvr, AND have High definition on the main tv, the price was going to be ridiculous.

  3. its for each.. I suggest getting tivo its 12.99 a piece and if you get more than one you get a discount to 9.99
