Common Boa Constrictor?

I have a normal common boa constrictor but every time she sheds she is getting more salmon colour on her, really bright on her face and all done her body. I have a salmon phase boa and the normal is even salmoner, is this normal. Is she a normal or a salmon boa. Is it normal.

Do you have pictures? A salmon is a morph, also know as a hypomelanistic, or hypo, which means reduced black pigment, resulting in a brightly colored boa. Pastels are not considered a true morph, and are just nice looking boas with alot of pink coloration to them. I have seen some really nice pastels, and I have seen some ugly hypos, so it is possible that you have a nice normal and a not-so-nice salmon. E-mail me pics of them and I'll gladly tell you since I have many, many boas.

It could be a pastel, or it might be a Central American Boa.

most boas show some signs of pinkness just after shedding, boas colour can change dramaticaly as they age, super salmons and the like are usualy the outcome of inbreeding the offspring of pinkish parents, but any boa inbred on not can be or turn pink, this is good reason to ask yourself, are they really worth the higher price that some breeders ask
