Community service...?

so i recently got arrested for ACCIDENTALLY putting some buttons in my pocket. (it really was an accident) so on top a fine i have to do community service. do i need papers of some sort for them to fill out?

  1. they give you the place or sometimes you can pick. the person in charge of you is who you have to check in with or someone might go with you to introduce you. sometimes you get hours that you have to work sometimes they let you work whatever hours you want as long as you get it done in a reasonable amount of time. if you can choose, pick a library or something, then you can just hide amongst the books and read or slack off. its not hard just boring specially since its summer and you could be out hanging out with friends.

Definitely.  Talk to the bailiff or community service office (if you did it through the court's office) and get the form they use.  Other than that, they will usually take a letter from the agency that details the dates and times that you worked.  It needs to be on the agency letterhead, with the signature, name, title and number of the person who supervised you.  They will check.

  3. Usually you would be given something for your "supervisor" to fill out to show that you were there and working and for how long...
