Computer CD Drive Error

Question

every time i put a cd disk in my computer drive such as a lexmark printer installation cd nothing pops up to prompt me to install this software . Also when i go to my computer and look in the appropriate disk location nothing is there . Is there anyway i can go on-line and maybe fix this with a download that can correct this issue ?

If it acts the same with many different CDs, then you likely have a bad drive. If it only has a problem with one CD, it could be a bad CD. Typically, CD drives either work or they don't, and yours sounds like it's not..
