Hey Guys, Gals. I am putting in my computer shortly for a service and few things done to it all iv had is problems with it so i am going to change things around. Here are the Specs

MBRD (ASUS P5N T DELUXE 780i DESKTOP BOARD).

Thermaltake (CL-P0464) DuOrb CPU cooler, Doesnt Fit? Zalman CNPS9700 LED.

Replace Stock Video Card Heatsink with Thermaltake DuOrb Video Card Cooler (CL-G0102).= 8800GT

New Side For Junior Black Side Panel with 23cm Fan -Colour Black - (A2472)

Reformat Hardrive C.

Thats What i am Changing Around i cant go water coolant because i cant be around often to trust people. ( Brothers ) im planning to do this in a week or 2 Please tell me if its a good idea

ATM What i have and Reasons.

P5N32-E SLI Motherboard - Slow On Boot up Doesn't Work well. Have to Return it on usually

Corsair 2GB ( 2x 1gb ) 800MHZ DDR2+ 1g 772MHZ Corsair - I think that's a lot of Ram and My Computer still seems to be slow constantly

Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 2.40GHZ - Decent Very Popular.

Western Digital Caviar SE16 750GB SATA300 WD7500AAKS

I cant see why my computer should be slow? my mother bought a laptop and it was quicker then my PC Also i think my Windows XP might be busted or something or a bad copy because my mother has Vista and its quicker still.

Do You Think That That will make my computer alot faster? i will probably buy another stick of ram later on aswell and will it be cool enough?

Thanks For Reading My Post i hope you guys help :) Cheers Guys/gals Shaun OH BTW i don't want to overclock Thats why the p5nt deluxe is a good idea because apparently its really quick MB.

  1. First of all get rid of 772 MHz Corsair (never heard of a model with that speed) surely it generates compatibility problems.

Second you need to streamline your XP install: just the basic services will be running at start - http://www.blackviper.com/WinXP/servicec... , install as little as really needed, run daily a cleaner - http://www.iobit.com/beta.html and always use the best and lightest security software -

    antivirus - http://www.avast.com/

    antispyware - http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/detai...

    5BFCE7-DA2B-4A6A-AFA4-F7F14E605A0D&dis...

    ................. - http://www.safer-networking.org/en/downl...

    firewall - http://www.personalfirewall.comodo.com/

maintenance - http://www.iobit.com/beta.html (they are all the best in their category and FREE). It would be a good idea to replace IE, it's a malware magnet junk with http://www.opera.com/  .
