Question:

Computer and battery disagree on power?

I just got a new battery replacement for my laptop

its an asus w3 4800 mAh

Now the funny thing is, when i start exhausting my computer of its power, my computer system claims the battery has 0% power, but the battery is still chugging, im surfing the net and playing music.

Is there any way to have them agree? or is it a restart issue?

The battery is still running so i will continue using till it is out of power, whenever it may be.

  1. Discharging until the computer does turn off and then recharging should calibrate the battery meter and cause the problem to be fixed in future (further discharges every few months will be needed to keep the battery meter accurate as the battery ages but otherwise it's generally better to avoid discharging Li-Ion batteries).
