Computer memory ( RAM ) help needed?

Question

I am thinking of upgrading my computer's Ram and the ' Crucial ' site has reccommended the following 2 items:

1. DDR PC2700, CL=2.5v, Unbuffered, NON-EEC, DDR333

2. DDR PC3200, CL=3, Unbuffered, NON-EEC, DDR400, 2.6v

Both are 1gig. Both are the same price.

What I want to know is what is the difference between the two ?

Which should I go for ?

The higher the PC number (PC2100, PC2700, or PC3200) then the better it is. Just be sure to buy the memory that is compatible with your motherboard... that is if you are planning on buying memory. You wouldn't notice the difference if you are just doing casual computer use, for example: Internet Browsing, listening to music, or word processing. However, if you are playing graphically intensive games, then you would notice a difference.   For more information, click the following link....................

Both are basically the same in terms of the number of pins they have. And knowing that it is DDR memory, it must be 184-Pin. The PC3200 obviously runs faster though. It all depends on what type of RAM your motherboard requires. If it requires PC2700, you may use either which RAM, but the BIOS will limit the speed of the PC3200 card down to PC2700 speeds. Long story short, it doesn't matter which one you go for. But if your motherboard requires PC3200, then that's a definite choice.
