Question:

Computer problem...?

From a long time my computer keeps stopping...he's not really stopping because I can hear he's still on but my monitor is making black and it says ''Pas de signal'' like I just turned the computer off. I tried to reinstall my Windows but I don't know why it says the code is invalid (even thought I reinstalled it before). My computer works good for about 5-15 minutes and then stops...

What could it be the problem? What can I do?

  1. What i would do is borrow a monitor from someone. plug it in and see if it still does the same thing.....umm but try to make sure it is an older one. not a new flat screen. the reason i say that is because sometimes with the newer flat screens they draw a lot of power and it could be your power source. it may not be strong enough to handle everything. if u already have an old monitor then still try another one and if they doesnt work then its either your video card or your power supply.

  2. there are three things that can happen. See the connection of your all cables. and sometimes the graphics card's slot will have some problem or different voltage. and the guy above me is also right may be the cooling system is not enough.

    hope it helps.

  3. Check the connection between your monitor and your computer. If its loose it could be coming undone by bumping it and what not.. if not that your video card might be bad. It could be having trouble getting the signal to your monitor.

  4. could be a problem with the internal temperature. get some software to monitor it and buy a new cooler if needed. update your video driver, as it may have problems and it may stop

  5. Sounds like your video card is overheating.  Next time hit the caps lock key on the keyboard to see if it lights up, this will narrow it down to video.  If it DOES your video card could be going bad, or you just might have a loose monitor cable.  If it DOSENT it points to a more serious problems with one of the components of your computer which can only be diagnosed through troubleshooting it.

  6. sounds like its just your monitor hybernating if it is you can right click anywhere on the desktop and go to properties go to screen saver then to power make sure where it says turn off monitor is never  and then click apply then it should not do that any more it also looks like your monitor is setup in spanish

  7. Friend,

You dont seem have problem with ur monitor. It must be a connection failure between CPU and the monitor.

The problem must be in the SMPS that supplies Power equally to all the parts of the computer.

There's no problem with ur Operating System(Widows) or Monitor. Try checking problems with SMPS which is inside the CPU.
