Last year I washed the windows outside with a hose. Somehow water got between the glazing. It has been 6 months now and it is still there. How can I rid myself of this unsightly water?

  1. You have lost the vacumn between the panes of glass needs re vacumn or renewal

  2. im sorry to say.. but you cant get this out... its stuck in there.. it seeped into the small glass pores and you would have to get a new window pro.b..?

    God Bless!

  3. bad seal

  4. they need re-sealing

  5. This is a sure sign that the sealed unit has failed. You must have had a small "leak" that let the air in. In doing so the water vapour in the air has caused condensation between the two panes, How to fix it? Unfortunately this will require a new sealed unit. Next time be careful as sealed units are very easy to break the seals on!

  6. The seal as been lost between the two panes of glass.

You may be able to have the glass repaired (resealed) ask about the cost compared to brand new sealed units!

  7. .Firstly there is no vacuum between the sheets of glass, it's an inert gas, typically Argon.

It is therefore NOT a DIY job, you could check with Double glazing manufacturers in you area, but the chances are that you will need a new unit.

Before you do anything though, check your guarantee, the units usually carry a ten year guarantee.

  8. Alas, I do not think that you can. I did exactly the same as you and I have `condensation` in a glass door and in two windows. They have been that way now for nearly two years. The glazing company told me that it is not covered by their guarantee(understandably) and the only answer is to replace the door and windows.

  9. Only one way to do that and that's to replace the double glazed units. The seals in the units must have been breaking down already for a hose to have done that much damage.
