Confused about Play TV for ps3?

Question

If u know wat im talkin about,, the Play TV for the ps3 its lik sky plus fer ps3. Well anyway i dont understand it. Do u have to have freeview? And wat channels do u get on freeview?

I think that the box acts like a freeview digital TV receiver but as you say, much like Sky Plus in that you can record live TV & play it back. Useful if you're doing something that overruns when your fave TV program is on, you can start it recording then 10 mins later start watching it from the beginning whilst it's still recording. (Called chase-play I do believe)

Looks like it can also be used with the PSP to access your PS3 from anywhere via the internet.

Edit - I know what you're talking about, it caught my eye in the Argos catalogue!

hi dee the reason why nobody knows about this playtv because it is not even out yet the playtv will be out this year 12-08 only in the uk that's it

ive got a ps3 and play on it everyday on call of duty 4 and never heard of this play tv for ps3/

i was looking at this myself the other day!. Basically its like a freeview recorder except you use the hard drive of the ps3.

You can pause rewind and do virtually everthin g the sky+ box can except you can only do it with the freeview channels that come with the play tv box (you can scan for more as more become avaliable).

Its coming out in september 08 for about £70
