Confused about cruise prices!?

"To reserve this cruise now, please choose a departure date below. You may make one booking at a time. Each booking includes one stateroom for up to eight people. If your first choice isn't available, try another date."

So if you pay 700 dollars for one suite, that can sleep up to eight people, do you have to pay 700 dollars per person?

Or if you pay 400 dollars for a room and 4 people will be going on the cruise, your total is 1,600 dollars? I'm trying to plan a family vacation but prices keep getting in the way.

  1. The prices are per person. However if you check alot of the cruise lines will offer an discount for a 3rd and 4th person. Depending of which cruise your best bet is to call and get the exact price for the number of people and which room you want. This will save you alot of guess work and checking every site there is.

    Good Luck.

  2. I am not sure where you got your quote from but all cruise cabins are sold as double occupancy and the rates shown are per person for the first two people per cabin.  Additional people in each cabin are priced at a lower rate, usually about half the fare for the first two people.

In booking a cabin the deposit is usually between $250 and $350 per person (depending upon the cruise line and the number of cruise days).  So yes you must pay a deposit for each person and if you are booking a suite that sleeps 8 people you will be required to pay the same deposit for all persons in that suite.

  3. If the website that you are looking at cannot answer your question then move on and find someone that can.  If you can't call them and ask them about your quote there are plenty of on-line cruise sellers that would offer to help!

  4. when you book your cruise with 4  the first 2 pay full price then the other 2 pay half price,,,2 adults and then   2 kids go half price each.   Check  first some lines don't work that way .

    enjoy you cruise we did.

  5. If you call a travel agent they can answer all your questions and explain everything to you.  Using a travel agent can even lower your rate.  They try to quote you the best price for what you are looking for. They can help you choose a cabin that will be comfortable for your family and get good placement on the ship.

They also know all the promos that are out there.

If you are that confused a travel agent is the way to go.

  6. THE 700 IS JUST  A DEPOSIT IT WILL BE 700 PER PERSON DONT LET A SITE CONFUSE YOU TRY FIRST GETTING A PRICE FROM THE CRUISE LINES

  7. Call the cruise line directly. They will give u the prices in a way u can understand because i've never heard of a cabin that can hold 8 people and i've worked with the cruise line. Dont waste time on those website, call the cruise line directly.

  8. As in what Rick D said the prices are per person. Cruise lines do offer discounts on 3rd and 4th persons but they must be in the same cabin!
