Contact lens curvature numbers?

for one eye my curvature numbers from the optometrist were:

4375 & 4275 @ 90 degrees (for one eye)

the contact lens I'm wearing in this eye is -1.75 , axis 90

do the curvature numbers seem correct?

Not sure what you mean by " do the curvature numbers seem correct "

He wrote down the keratometer reading he got, ( which gives the curvature of your cornea ) but that doesn't say the Base Curve of your contacts that he wants you to wear , if that's what you mean.

It's strange they would write that on your Rx , it doesn't help you out to order contacts at all....maybe that's why too....lol

It's not that surprising, but it's impossible to tell.

The first figures only refer to the corneal refractive power, and with vertical astigmatism (you have pure myopic astigmatism, with no sphere component?), very commonly this is due to *lenticular* astigmatism which does not show up on the corneal measurement at all.

Lenticular astigmatism is rarely directly measured, but inferred from the difference between the corneal astigmatism and the spectacle Rx astigmatism.

It's significant in about one person in ten.

Yes. it is at 90 degree and u dont need toric lenses
