I have non prescription contacts. I can see very well, i just wanted to have colored eyes. But I can't see very far. I cant see peoples faces until I get close up on them. And I cant read signs until Im close up on them. Is this usual for contacts? This my first pair.

  1. No, it most definitely is not.  I assume that your vision without these cosmetic coloured contacts is good, or do you usually wear glasses (ie. can you normally see from far away)?  Did you purchase these cosmetic contacts over the counter from a pharmacy, or did you get them fitted by an optician?

If you did buy them over the counter, chances are good that they are of poor quality and not well made.  If this is the case, they will irritate your eyes if you continue to wear them.  If you can't see properly when you do wear them, then you obviously shouldn't wear them at all.

If you want to wear coloured contacts for cosmetic purposes, do yourself a really big favour by saving up your money and having a pair properly fitted by a reputable Optician or Optometrist.

  2. you probably have a pair that doesn't fit ur vision well.My friend had this problem too and had to take them out (she said it was like wearing sum1 elses glasses). Although you may not wear glasses, its best that u have an Optometrist fit u in order not to cause this problem. I wear contacts too, to correct my vision, and they are never blurry after i put them in.

So yea get that checked out, saves a lot of trouble. :-)
