Continual fleas!!?

I live in a house and we have recently had a crazy flea infestation...we have 2 cats and they have both been sprayed with flea spray, have both got flea repellent on them and one has a flea collar on. In the house we have put powder on the carpet, sprayed all the soft furnishings and set off flea bombs but there are still fleas and we are getting bitten to pieces..short of calling in pest control, is there anything we can do??

Take the cats to the vet and get the really good strong flea drops that you put on the back of their necks.  That will kill the fleas on the cats.  Then you will have to get stuff to spray over the house to kill the fleas. Your bed clothes, wash them on a really hot wash. But the root cause is the cats and this is a really bad time of year for fleas.  If that doesn`t work call in Rentokil.
