  1. Where I live the calculation is like this
    number of metric units cu m multiply by the conversion factor [example 1.02264]
    multiply by calorific value [example 39.5]
    divide by 3.6 and the result is Kwh

    if your readings are imperial cu ft, before the divide by 3.6 insert this step
    divide by 2.83
    The conversion factor and calorific value are not the same for all countries in the world and depend on height above sea level, atmospheric pressure and the type of gas being measured, the values are often averaged out for a specific region, state or country
