Question:

Converting .rar files?

I have 9 .rar files that need to be mounted in Daemon Lite. Now, the problem is that daemon will only work with these files:

cue/bin

iso

ccd (CloneCD)

bwt (Blindwrite)

mds (Media Descriptor File)

cdi (Discjuggler)

nrg (Nero)

pdi (Instant CD/DVD)

b5t (BlindWrite 5)

How do I change the RAR files into one of these? Which one should I use for a computer game? ISO?

I really don't want to download any more programs.

  1. use winrar.exe to extract the 9 rar contents

  2. No need for WinRar.  7-Zip can extract .rar files, and it's freeware.

  3. A rar is like a zip file, a compressed archive, not an image.  Use WinRAR to extract.  ISO is more 'standard' than the others, so I would normally recommend it over others.  Most of the images I use for games happen to be mds though.
